European disability law and policy relevant to disabled people

Research Leader: Prof Lisa Waddington (University of Maastricht)
Rapporteur: Prof Rikki Holmaat (University of Leiden)

During 2008 relevant legislation at the European level has been reviewed. The report Annotated review of European legislation which makes a difference' is now avaialble.

This mapping of disability law across a range of policy areas does provide important information about progress in mainstreaming disability. It will also help to identify priority areas for future policy development in implementing the EU Disability Action Plan and the UN Convention.
